Clarifying an organization's purpose, articulating it in a text that contains mission, vision, meaning and objectives, is not an automatic exercise nor a revelation, but a process that requires methodologies that make it possible. The absence of clarity in purpose, or of coherence between what is said and what is done, is one of the main sources of organizational crisis.
Purpose is what guides action and allows resources to be allocated efficiently to fulfill the organizational promise. Without that clear bearing, resources are lost, become disordered, and the team loses its orientation.
